Property description

Originally the headquarters of Newcastle Breweries in 1900, The Bruce Building is a Grade II listed building with stunning original features. It has been transformed in recent years into luxury apartments and office suites, providing accommodation in the heart of Newcastle City Centre. At the Brewery Lane entrance, you may be able to spot something extra special… we’re lucky enough to have a WW2 watchtower on display which was discovered on-site during the renovation project! You can also look out for large photos in the hallways of the building for a sneak peek into this renovation project. All apartments featur a satellite flat-screen TV, a private bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen including a fridge, hob, an oven/microwave and a kettle. Complimentary tea, coffee and milk are also provided along with fresh towels and luxury bedding. If you need anything extra, please don’t hesitate to ask!Newcastle is quite a compact City, which makes it ideal for shopping, exploring or just getting to where you need to be! The city really has it all; from history, culture and museums to the best shopping in the North East and, of course, our famous nightlife. Eldon Square mall is just two minutes’ walk from The Bruce Building and along with the excellent range of shops has just launched a new restaurant zone. Cuisines from across the globe are covered with options including The Alchemist, Chaophraya, TGI Fridays, Handmade Burger Co, Bella Italia, Georges Kitchen, Reds BBQ and many more. Visit intu.co.uk/eldonsquare/restaurants for the full list.We are directly next to Newcastle University Campus and a 2-minute walk from Northumbria University, so are in the ideal location for family visiting students during their studies or for graduation ceremonies. St James Park is also just a few minutes’ walk from The Bruce Building; the stadium is home to Newcastle United football club, church to many toon fans across the North East. We strongly recommend taking in a game if you can, the atmosphere is unbeatable! If you are looking to see a show, the Theatre Royal is only a 7-minute walk from the apartment, the 02 Academy is just 10 minutes and Metro Radio Arena is only a 20 minute walk away. Transport wise due to our central location, you can travel on foot to get to and from the main strip of shops, clubs and restaurants. If you want to venture a little further, the metro network covers a great deal of the city and Haymarket station is just across the road from The Bruce Building. Haymarket Bus Station is also just opposite with services reaching across the North East. The nearest airport is Newcastle International Airport, 5.6 miles from the building. You can get the metro straight from the Airport to Haymarket metro, which will drop you just across the road from The Bruce Building. The nearest train station is Central Station; you can walk up from here to The Bruce Building which will take you around 10/15 minutes, or you can hop on the metro stop at the station and get off at Haymarket. Parking information

Unfortunately we do not have parking at The Bruce Building. Parking can be a little expensive in the city centre, so I would recommend coming up on the train instead as you can get everywhere on foot or by using the metro in the city centre. If you need to bring your car, I would recommend using one of the following car parks:Leazes Lane pay and display (opposite Trent House pub)NCP Multi storey - John Dobson StreetNCP Multi storey - Market StreetThese are all just a short walk from The Bruce Building.
